Ten Gorgeous WordPress Themes
It’s been a while since I’ve last published an article resource for your enjoyment. Today I want to show you ten absolutely gorgeous WordPress themes. They are all free, WordPress 2.5 compatible, and each of these themes will add a plus of personality to your blog. You’ll see that the themes selected for today are fit for different needs: from creating a magazine-type of blog, to photoblogging, from vlogging to creating twitter-like applications. If you like them… you have enough space, databases and subdomains available on our web-hosting plan, to create a blog for each.
1. If I was to make a top ten, the winner would certainly be Theme Leia. It has a beautiful layout, although left centered, which is not what I always recommend. But a skilled coder could help you center the design (I could help too if you are not too shy to ask). In addition to the beautiful header you see in the screenshot, the designer also included, free of charge, 5 additional headers.

2. Nishita is a beautiful photoblog WordPress theme. Simple and elegant, this is the ideal choice for amateur photographers, or even for those of you who are skilled enough to find the coolest free images on the web and to share them with the community.

3. Massive News Mobile Edition is a WordPress theme customized for iPod and iPhone. I am sure that there will be more themes like this in the future… for now, this is all I could find. If you think “long-term” , and because the Web is obviously going mobile, you should seriously consider downloading this theme and using it as the “mobile” version of your blog.

4. Thunderbolt is ideal for those bloggers who like a clean layout, with no ads and minimal use of graphics. It’s a magazine type of theme, a bit old fashioned and not too Web 2.0. Yet I like its simplicity and I think the theme is perfect for writers who prefer their community to focus on content rather than other site aspects.

5. Videographer – Start your own YouTube is the perfect WordPress vlog theme. It will show video screenshots on the left, near video title, short description and ratings, allowing the visitors to watch a video in the right column. There must be a better vlog template out there, but I haven’t managed to find it.

6. If you were looking for a free magazine theme, look no further than The Morning After. Much better than Thunderbolt and with a landing page as rich as Revolution, The Morning After is the ideal choice for all bloggers who cannot afford to pay the price of a premium theme but are committed to offering premium content.

7. The Unstandard is a pretty magazine theme as well, my personal recommendation for bloggers who depend on StumblreUpon traffic. The heavy graphic layout was obviously conceived for bloggers who include many images to support their content.

8. WP-Premium is a free 125×125 banner ready theme, with a professional layout and many professional features.

9. Overstand is another gorgeous free magazine theme. Personally I would recommend it for blogs focused on children and teenagers topics. It could also be fit for jewelry, fashion and hobby blogs.

10. It’s strange to end with a Prologue… but if you are a Twitter, FriendFeed fan and you want to create a similar type of community, this is the right theme for you.

Do you know other cool WordPress themes we haven’t included here? You are welcome to leave a link within your comment, but don’t forget to tell us why you recommend the specific theme you link at.

Good choice. I agree Theme Leia is one cool wp theme. 2nd choice the wp-premium.

I am glad you liked them, Charles. My favorite is still The Morning After, of course after Theme Leia, but Theme Leia is the first choice just because it has better graphics. When it comes to functionality the magazine themes are still the best.

I am trying to find a good video theme. I was hoping for free or pretty cheap. Do you know of any?
