Top Hosting Center Contest Winners
And the Winners Are…
Let the drums roll…
THC is proud to announce the winners of the blog contest started on October 8th, 2007. We have 3 prizes: one Top Hosting Special plan free for a year – with one free domain registration included and two Mega Plan 1 free for a year each (valued at $3.95 per month). Back when we announced the contest the last two prizes did not include domains. The idea was to give you the chance to host domains parked free on GoDaddy or elsewhere on an add free, full operable, professional host: THC.
THC no longer offers the Mega Plans. We find them needless – and the fact that they don’t include domain registration was not in the best interest of the users. So we replace the Mega Plan with the Top Hosting Specials. All the winners get the same plans! But stick with us… we have more surprises for you.
Let’s not prolong this any longer. The winner of the Top Hosting Special plan is Nasir of Guru Pedia. You can read his entry: “Domain Name: why should you own it?†and congratulate him on his effort. An excellent entry with a lot of good tips. Sure, we loved the THC reference, but this played no role in choosing him as the winner.
For the second and third prizes we have Erz and Nicholas Francis. Both excellent entries and to the point. Congratulations!
Now, as we only had 5 entries in the contest (although we expected more, but probably other bloggers were afraid of the competition), we decided to offer free hosting plans with free domain registration included to our other two contestants too: Barbara Desmond and Matt of Contest Beat (who announced the contest in his network).
We would like to thank you all for participating in this challenge. And we wait for you to contact admin@tophostingcenter.com to claim your prizes.

Hey mig, I can’t connect to my account. It says “The connection has timed out” on my Firefox browser. What should I do now? :S
You are offering a Linux package but I have Windows XP SP2. Is this causing problem?
NasirJumani | Dec 1, 2007 | Reply
When did this happen, Nasir? It could be from your firewall or Internet connection. What system you run on your computer has nothing to do with what we run on our servers anyway.

It happens every time I want to log-in.
Can you suggest what firewall and internet settings shud I use to connect smoothly?
It can be of great help for mee…….. :~S
